Our business in Northern Kentucky continues to grow and we are looking for more positive reinforcement-based dog handlers!

Part-Time Daycare & Kennel Associate 10am-2pm Shift - Mon.-Fri, Alternating Weekends and available for Holiday rotation. This position is part time to start and has full time potential. We offer generous benefits for your dog.

Job Responsibilities Daycare & Boarding:

• Cleaning and sanitizing according to procedures
• Monitoring daycare and boarding playgroups
• Creating daycare and boarding playgroups according to procedures and directions received from Daycare and Boarding Manager, Daycare and Boarding Team Leader, or Owner/Trainer
• Contributing to daily behavior log
• Assisting with pick up and drop off if needed, including greeting of clients, escorting of dogs, and sharing daily verbal reports with clients

Qualifications:

New Beginnings K-9 Training is looking for experienced dog handlers with a commitment to a positive reinforcement-based approach to working with dogs. We are willing to provide dog behavior and handling training for candidates already meeting all italicized qualifications.

Professionalism is a must.

• High school diploma minimum; college preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail and quality
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
• Ability to take direction, work productively on one's own and as part of a team
• Able to take and give constructive criticism, work without ego as part of a collegial team
• Understanding of dog behavior a plus; commitment to positive-only interactions with dogs a must
• Experience with dogs in groups, experience with positive training a plus
• Ability to read dog body language a plus
