Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccinations are needed to enroll in daycare and boarding?
We require three vaccinations for our adult canine guests: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Puppies must have their first round of DHPP vaccination and their Bordetella shot. All vaccinations must have been given at least 7 days prior to your dog and/or puppy entering our programs at our facility for their protection and well-being.
Can I bring my dog's bed and blanket to New Beginnings?
We welcome and encourage our clients to bring their own dogs' bedding to help them feel more secure and at home.
My dog is a picky eater. Can I supply my dog’s own food?
Yes. If you have particular snacks your dog prefers or you wish your dog to have particular treats, we welcome you to provide these for your dog’s stay at daycare or while boarding and we will ensure they will enjoy them just as they would at home. Eating familiar food is much less stressful for the dog and cuts down on the likelihood of upsetting his or her digestive system. We recognize that some dogs have food allergies/sensitivities and we will make sure to stick to the limited diets of our special guests!
Will you administer medication to my dog?
We are happy to administer medication in all orally ingestible forms—please provide a full list and schedule at the time of check-in. Unfortunately, we cannot give your dog injections.
Are there any breeds you don't accept?
No. We welcome all breeds.
Do you board dogs that don’t like other dogs?
Certainly. Your dog will be walked separately three times a day by our staff and will have in-room play and cuddle sessions, too. Please call us for an evaluation and quote. What's more, we have a training option that may be just what you need. Board & Train is a customized behavior modification program that can help your dog get used to and eventually truly enjoy the company of other dogs.
